Lady Gaga's perfume wins Swedish award

Pop superstar Lady Gaga may be taking time off to recover from hip surgery, but her debut fragrance won a prize at the 2013 Swedish Beauty & Cosmetic Awards.

Haus Laboratories, the company behind Gaga's stunning black 'Fame' perfume, tweeted a message to Little Monsters around the world in the early hours of this morning that told them the exciting news:

"LADY GAGA FAME has won Best Female Fragrance at the Swedish Beauty & Cosmetic Awards! #LADYGAGAFAME."

'Fame' was launched as the first ever black Eau de Parfum and the scent has been described as "tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Tiger Orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops".

Following the 'Born This Way' sensation's win, fans took to the Haus Laboratories' Facebook page and congratulated her with one follower writing: "So happy to see that my queen's perfume won."
