Debbie Harry has given One Direction's recent Blondie cover the seal of approval.

The boyband recently put their own spin on the classic group's track 'One Way Or Another' for this year's Comic Relief single.

They managed to mash up the song with The Undertones' 'Teenage Kicks', giving the track a whole new feel.

Speaking to the Daily Star, singer Harry admitted that the 'Kiss You' lads did a stellar cover. She said:

"I was pleased by One Direction's version - I thought they did a good job."

Harry continued: "One Direction's take had a similar spirit to our early cover versions. They seem good kids."
