Daft Punk head straight to No.1 in 13 countries with new single 'Get Lucky'

The new single from Daft Punk was only released formally this morning (April 19), but it has since shot to No.1 on iTunes charts across the world.

'Get Lucky', which also features Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, will act as the duo's first single from their upcoming album 'Random Access Memories' and went straight to the top spot in the UK iTunes chart today.

The song has peaked at No.1 in a phenomenal 13 countries, including France, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, and Finland. It's currently at 3 on the U.S. iTunes chart, No.4 in Germany and No.9 in Austria.

'Random Access Memories' is due to be released in the UK on May 20 and a day later in the USA.
