Union J admit they cried after hearing debut single on radio

Union J have revealed that they shed tears after hearing their debut song on the radio.

As previously reported, the X Factor 2012 contestants today (April 22) unleashed their first ever single 'Carry You' to radio.

It has also been uploaded online as fans devour their first official release since leaving the semi-finals of the X Factor.

Speaking to Capital FM, JJ Hamblett revealed that he started welling up after hearing the track for the first time on the radio. He said:

"I was looking at all the tweets after and the support and what people were saying was so nice. It just kind of made me bawl a little bit."

Speaking about the message behind 'Carry You', Jaymi Hensley added: "The message of the song is [that] we've been on a massive roller caster the last year with each other, and it's about being there for each other. It's there for the fans, we really wouldn't be here without them."
