Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen to release album

Paul Allen is already a billionaire businessman, a published author, a philanthropist and sports team owner. But the Microsoft co-creator is set to add a new line on his CV: recording artist.

A well known music fan, Allen has enlisted some big names in the rock’n’roll realm to help on his upcoming album ‘Everywhere at Once’. The 13-track blues-based record features contributions from the likes of Chrissie Hynde, Joe Walsh, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos as well as Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart.

The tech mogul, who made his fortune alongside his Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, also boasts full or partial song-writing credit on each of the album’s tracks and plays guitar on all.

The album is due out on August 6th and as the 60-year-old billionaire has no need for more cash, all proceeds from sales are going towards the non-profit EMP.
