Daft Punk make an appearance at Monaco Grand Prix

Elusive dance music duo Daft Punk have made an appearance at the Monaco Grand Prix.

The ‘Get Lucky’ duo turned up at the event to see the Daft Punk themed racing car, built by the British Formula one team Lotus, competing in the Monaco Grand Prix today.

A number of cryptic clues appeared in the media earlier this week linking the French music act and the Lotus F1 team.

A series of teaser clips were posted on the Lotus F1 team’s Youtube channel before the videos were verified as being official and a full-length commercial was aired.

This rare public appearance of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the men behind the robot helmets, comes after Daft Punk’s latest album ‘Random Access Memories’ became the fastest selling record in the UK of 2013 and their chart topping single ‘Get Lucky’ passed the 28 million mark for music streams on Spotify.
