Joe Jonas helps Oklahoma tornado victims on Memorial Day weekend

'Burnin' Up' hitmaker Joe Jonas spent Memorial Day weekend helping with the clean up following the tornado that wrecked Oklahoma last week.

The star travelled to the state and joined charity bosses at Convoy of Hope to help victims and explained to CNN that it was devastating to see first hand the damage caused:

"It's heartbreaking to see personal items that probably meant so much to them (tornado victims) and hearing that you only have minutes to leave your house, I can't even imagine... Just even taking a glimpse (around), it's devastating. It's very sad."

"It is a little bit encouraging to see how many people are around just helping with whatever they can. It's kind of a beautiful thing to see people coming together."

Jonas also shared a post via his official Twitter page, in which he urged followers to donate money: "Happy to be in Moore, Oklahoma to help. You can help also go to chartyofhope.org for ways to donate or get down here and help out."
