Country singer Keith Urban has opened up about his role as a panelist on 'American Idol' and revealed that he's just as in the dark about if he's coming back for another season as the public are.

During an interview with AP, the 'You'll Think Of Me' hitmaker explained that he has no idea if the popular TV talent show will ask him to return for the next season so he's just keeping busy with music at the moment:

"I have no official information of anything. I'm pretty much in the same boat as everybody else here with the rumours that have been floating around. I don't know anything more about what's happening next season."

Urban has also confirmed details of his forthcoming new album, which will be called 'Fuse', and is due to be released on September 10. Speaking about working on the record, Urban confessed that he's enjoying following his creativity and branching out with a new group of musicians and producers:

"It's just been really creatively liberating to me. I love collaborating. It's the thing I've always loved doing, whether it's writing or performing or being in the studio, I love the collaborative process. I think finding people's strengths is the thing I love the most."
