Ed Sheeran: 'My new album focuses on relationships'

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that his forthcoming sophomore record will be about love rather than money, fame or success.

During an interview with Hollywood Life, the star explained that he wanted to focus the attention on relationships this time around: "It's not an album about fame and fortune, it's an album about relationships."

Earlier this month, the 'Lego House' hitmaker confirmed that he has finished writing songs for the offering and hopes to release it early next year:

"I turned it in today. It's (due) early next year. It was going to be this year but I don't finish touring till October and then there's no time to get a plan together. I'm going to spend October, November, December planning and then just smash it out next year."

Sheeran is currently touring the USA with Taylor Swift and took to his official Twitter page yesterday (May 29) to tell his fans that during some down time he had caught a fish (pictured below).
