Robin Thicke on course for debut UK No.1 single

Robin Thicke looks set to bag his first ever UK No.1 this weekend.

His track 'Blurred Lines' has sold a staggering 101,000 copies this week, according the Official Charts Company's midweek update.

This means he is outselling current No.1 Naughty Boy by more than two to one.

The song, which features TI and Pharrell Williams, could become the UK's fastest selling single of the year so far.

Its video struck up debate after an unrated version featuring three topless female models was uploaded onto VEVO.

Elsewhere in the midweek singles chart, Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' drops to No.3 whilst Jessie J's 'Wild' is a new entry at No.4.

Passenger's 'Let Her Go' and Olly Murs' latest release 'Dear Darlin'' are in at No.5 and No.6 respectively.
