Daft Punk set for second week at top of UK albums chart

Daft Punk are on course to top the UK albums chart for a second week running.

Last week, the French duo ploughed their into the No.1 spot with their new album 'Random Access Memories', which shifted 165,000 copies in its first week.

It became the fastest selling album of the year in the UK and the Official Charts Company's midweek data shows that it's on course to stay put at No.1.

At No.2 on the chart today (May 29) is Rod Stewart's 'Time', whilst Laura Marling's new entry 'Once I Was An Eagle' lands at No.3.

Bruno Mars' 2012 effort 'Unorthodox Jukebox' is in at No.4 whilst Stooshe's maiden album 'London With The Lights On' debuts at No.5.

Elsewhere in the chart, Emeli Sandé has returned to the top ten - at No.9 - after slipping out of it last week for the first time since its release in February 2012.
