Fan sues MAC after getting herpes from Rihanna's lipstick

A fan of Bajan beauty Rihanna has filed a lawsuit against cosmetics brand MAC after a beauty consultant applied some of the superstar's 'Riri Woo' lipstick onto her mouth at a recent concert, which gave her herpes.

28-year-old Starkeema Greenidge was at the 'Umbrella' superstar's gig at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn earlier this month and explained that an employee of MAC, who was working at the show to promote Rihanna's collection, put some of the colour directly onto her lips without using a cotton bud and it gave her the virus.

Greenidge, who is a waitress from Harlem, told the Daily News on Wednesday (May 29): "I wasn't able to work for two weeks. It cost me a lot of money."

She slapped MAC with the lawsuit at the Manhattan Supreme Court in hope that it will encourage the brand to consider more sanitary behaviour in the future.
