A 45-year-old man was taken into police custody earlier this week in the USA after he was caught trying to lure young girls into video chatting with him by posing as One Direction's curly haired star, Harry Styles.

John Eastman was arrested in Connecticut on Wednesday, May 29, for pretending to be the 'Little Things' singer on Skype. He used the screen name 'Harry.Styles888' and used photographs of the heartthrob in order to convince girls, some as young as 5, that he was the boyband hitmaker.

It was revealed that Eastman tried to offer the victims tickets to One Direction's concerts in exchange for watching them strip on camera or perform sex acts.

He was arraigned on Thursday (May 31) on charges including employing a minor in an obscene performance and is currently being held on $500,000 (£322,000) bail. The Waterbury Republican-American reports that hundreds of pictures and videos of child pornography were found on his computer.
