Tulisa arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs

Tulisa Contostavlos has been arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

As previously reported, The Sun ran a story at the weekend (June 2) which saw the 24-year-old singer apparently set up their undercover reporter with a drugs deal.

Their man was then sold cocaine by a friend of the former X Factor judge in London, with everything caught on audio and video.

It has been widely reported across a number of media outlets today (June 4) that Tulisa has now been arrested by the Metropolitan Police on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

The Met said in a statement: "Officers from Westminster have arrested two people - a 35-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman - on suspicion of supplying class-A drugs. They are in custody at a Central London police station."

Whilst speaking to The Sun's undercover reporter, the singer allegedly boasted about her contacts within the drugs industry and nicknamed the illegal substances "sweets".

Tulisa's two-year stint on the UK X Factor meanwhile ended recently, with the singer replaced by former judge Sharon Osbourne.
