Robin Thicke's wife "loves" risqué music video

Singer Robin Thicke's wife "loves" his risqué 'Blurred Lines' video.

The 36-year-old star's catchy hit featuring Pharrell Williams and T.I. has become an international sensation.

However, the explicit version of the accompanying music promo - which shows Thicke, Williams and T.I. surrounded by half naked women - has been branded inappropriate by some.

The singer says his actress wife Paula Patton loves the concept though.

He told the Daily Star: "Some of it was my wife's idea. My wife is an artist first and wife second. So she's my creative partner and muse. She was excited about it right away and loved the video and wanted to watch it like 10 times, then she would jump on my bones."

Explaining the meaning behind 'Blurred Lines' Thicke went on to explain: "It is mostly throwaway fun, but naturally Pharrell and I - being in love with our wives, having kids and loving our mothers - we have a lot of respect for women. So the way we were seeing it is, 'I know man tries to domesticate you but you're an animal, you are just like any man'.

He added: "It is also about the blurred line between a good girl and bad girl, people who want to get naughty."

Thicke recently rubbished criticism of the 'Blurred Lines' promo saying: "Well, sexist? They need to come up with something more original than that. To me, if my videos are sexist, then so are the paintings at the Louvre."
