Tulisa's father fears for her career

Tulisa Contostavlos' father has spoken out following her arrest on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

Last weekend (June 2) The Sun newspaper ran a front page story which allegedly saw Tulisa organise a drug deal for an undercover journalist.

Following the news story the former X Factor judge was arrested and later bailed by the Met Police.

Tulisa's father, Plato Contostavlos, has now spoken to The Sun newspaper to voice his concerns for his daughter.

Plato stated: "I was devastated when I heard [the news] - that's my child. I was hurt badly… I fear for Tulisa and her career and I'm trying to reach out to her so she can succeed again."

He continued: "I'm worried as a father about the people she's hanging about with. Any father on the planet would have fears - but I know she'll pull through because she has a strong family."

Tulisa and her father have been estranged for three years but Plato is keen to reconnect with his daughter.

On his decision to speak to The Sun, the newspaper that ran the original drug deal story about Tulisa, Plato asserted: "I want to get back into her life. I'd just hug her and kiss her. That's why I'm doing this through the paper - to remind her that her dad is there, to reach out."
