US comedienne Joan Rivers has scored a date with Adam Lambert.

The 'Better Than I Know Myself' singer appeared on the veteran comic's TV show Fashion Police last night (June 10) to celebrate her 80th birthday.

Lambert battled it out with basketball star Darius Morris and comedian Gilbert Gottfried to impress Rivers and win a date with the birthday girl.

The singer's shopping spree idea seemingly piqued interest, with Lambert eventually winning the contest. He said:

"We would be sipping champagne, caviar; we would shop the day away. I would take you to get a facial, dermabrasion, a peel, makeup done, hair set - buy you anything you want."

He added that they would then "fall asleep watching Fashion Police".
