Beyoncé bags £6.2m from London O2 Arena shows

Beyoncé made over £1m a night from her recent shows at London's O2 Arena.

The singer played six shows at the massive venue earlier this year as she brought her Mrs. Carter Show world tour to the British capital.

According to data published by Billboard, the 'Grown Woman' star raked in $9,733,780 (£6.21m) from the shows, which took place in April and May.

Beyoncé grossed slightly less from her three Manchester shows meanwhile, pocketing $4,650,150 (£2.97m).

One Direction meanwhile reportedly took in $7,867,850 (£5.02m) for playing eleven shows at London's O2 Arena this year.

The top tanking gig this year so far is The Rolling Stones' two shows at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on May 25 and June 6, which banked a combined $11,526,570 (£7.36m).
