Ed Sheeran on having his photo taken: 'It's abnormal to pose and smile for that long'

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has opened up about being part of a major tour with friend Taylor Swift and revealed that the amount of time he has to spend in front of a camera is "abnormal".

Speaking about having to pose for snapshots for both the press and fans alike, the 'Lego House' superstar explained that he's used to having pictures taken at house parties in the heat of the moment, but finds standing and grinning down the lens for hours very strange:

"I thought it was just me but I think from talking to other artists it’s not. I think it’s just abnormal to smile & pose for quite a long time. Usually when you get a photo taken you’re at a party with friends and I don’t think it’s just me that finds that strange."

Sheeran also joked that fans' mothers are often the most difficult to deal with, adding: "Always the mums, they push too far. The fans go crazy for a bit then calm down. One mum in San Francisco told me that Carrie Underwood was the first kiss for this boy so I wondered if you would be the first kiss for my daughter? She was nine, pretty sure that’s a crime?"
