Little Mix working on new album

Former X Factor champions Little Mix are currently working on their new album.

The band's debut album 'DNA' landed at an impressive No.4 on the US charts, making them the highest ever charting British female group in America with a first-time record.

The four-piece - comprising also comprising Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - are now concentrating on tracks for their next record.

Nelson told The Shields Gazette: "We are working on it at the moment and we have been writing a few songs but because we are always back and forth from America, at the moment we don’t know what we are going to do. We are just going to see what happens really.”

Nelson previously admitted that she is surprised at the amount of fans Little Mix have in the US, gushing: "Just seeing the amount of fans that we actually have [in the US] is so overwhelming. When we go to our signings, it's crazy - we feel like Justin Bieber when we go."

She added: "It's crazy, and we've never felt like that before, and it's just amazing."

Little Mix's chart success means that they are the highest ever charting British female group in the US with a debut album. The previous record was held by the Spice Girls, who saw their first album 'Spice' enter the US chart at No.6 in 1997.
