The Wanted's Nathan Sykes nearly quit reality TV show

The Wanted star Nathan Sykes has revealed that he nearly left the filming of his band's recent reality TV series after feeling down.

The British group filmed in the US for E!'s The Wanted Life, which documented the group whilst they lived it up in a plush house in Los Angeles.

However, Sykes became ill whilst the cameras were rolling, with the singer ultimately having to undergo a severe operation on his throat.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the 'Walks Like Rihanna' man admitted that at one point he was set to quit the reality show because he was so upset and homesick. He said:

"I was really, really close to quitting and going home at one point. It was just too much. Everywhere I looked there was a camera, and I wasn't sure if I could deal with it. I was ill and shut away in my room and just wanted to leave. I got really, really homesick."

Things seem to be on the up for Sykes, however, with the musician rejoining The Wanted for the first time since his April operation during a performance at London's Wembley Stadium on June 9.
