A host of celebrity stars including Adam Lambert and Katy Perry have helped launch Bonnie McKee's new single.

The 29-year-old may not be a household name, but she has worked as a songwriter with such singers as Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, racking up eight US number ones in the process.

A number of her friends have now appeared in a video for her latest solo single 'American Girl' as they mime along to the track.

Adam Lambert, Katy Perry and Ke$ha all feature in the clip, as well as the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen and Nicole Scherzinger.

Rock musicians KISS and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee also rear their respective heads in the video.
