Daft Punk become bookies' favourite for Glastonbury secret slot

Daft Punk have emerged as the bookies' favourite to play a secret set at this weekend's Glastonbury Festival.

A number of rumours have been swirling around the internet concerning possible unannounced performances at the festival.

Beady Eye stoked the flames of speculation by posting an image on Twitter asking fans where they will be at 11am on Friday (June 28).

However, betting company William Hill have placed odds of 6/4 on notably shy French electronic duo Daft Punk playing a surprise DJ set at some point over the weekend.

They also have the aforementioned Beady Eye at 5/1 whilst veteran David Bowie has odds of 6/1.

With a 11am slot on Friday still be be announced on the festival's Other Stage, the smart money appears to be on Beady Eye.

A William Hill spokesperson meanwhile commented: "Who has not been to a festival already this year and heard the rumour that Bowie is there, except for Download perhaps? There will undoubtedly be no change at Glasto, but the odds would suggest there is plenty of weight behind this rumour."
