Westboro Baptist Church launch verbal attack on Taylor Swift

The Westboro Baptist Church have launched a verbal attack against American pop star Taylor Swift.

The highly controversial fundamentalist Christian group have targeted a number of other high profile musicians in the past including Radiohead and the Foo Fighters and they have now made Taylor Swift their next target.

In a press release the Westboro Baptist Church said of Swift: “[she] works her ‘girl next door’ country-singer shtick, while hopping from one young man to the next and strutting across the world stage like a proud whore”.

They also criticise the ‘22’ hit maker’s father by saying: “He has no compunction about her immodest vulgar appearance or serial fornication. With a hating hypocrite for a dad – who will jealously guard her income, while not giving a thought for her never-dying soul – no wonder she grew up to be the poster child for the young whores of doomed-America.”

The hate group plan to protest outside of Taylor Swift’s upcoming concert at the Sprint Centre in Kansas on August 3.

Earlier this year in May the Westboro Baptist Church announced that they were going to picket the memorial service of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hannen.

The band responded to the threat by telling fans: “Want to really piss off the Westboro Baptist Church at Jeff's Memorial Celebration? Do exactly what Slayer members and family are going to do - totally ignore them. They don't exist.”

Taylor Swift has not responded to the Westboro Baptist Chruch’s comments. Watch a recent interview with Taylor Swift below:
