Robin Thicke ready to change name to 'Blurred Lines'

Robin Thicke has joked that he might change his name to 'Blurred Lines' in recognition of his smash hit song.

The suave US star has seen the track of the same name land at No.1 in the UK for four consecutive weeks, whilst it has also proved a success back home.

Speaking to MTV, Thicke quipped that he could alter his name to pay tribute to the song. He said:

"I was thinking about changing my name to 'Blurred Lines' at this point."

He added: "We knew it was good, [but] you never know it's going to be that big. But we're very grateful about its success."

As previously reported, Thicke recently suggested that Justin Timberlake's return to music opened doors for his own career to reach new heights. He said:

"[Justin Timberlake] actually helped me a lot because his sound went more R&B and soulful and that's what I've been doing my whole career, so it really opened up a door."
