Prince on communicating: 'I don't own a mobile phone and nobody really talks to me'

'Raspberry Beret' icon Prince has revealed that he wouldn't dream of owning a mobile phone.

The 54-year-old music legend sat down for an interview with V magazine and explained that he shuns most modern technologies and, perhaps even more surprisingly, only communicates with a few members of his team.

When asked if he owns a cell phone, Prince exclaimed: "Are you serious? Hell, no! Where is my phone? Can you call my phone? Oh, I can’t find it."

"This organization is different than most, in the sense that we don’t take directions from the outside world. It’s like a galaxy. The sun is in the center giving off energy, and everything revolves around it … Nobody really talks to me. Nobody talks to me a lot."

He also confessed that he mostly speaks with his assistant, Ramadan: "I talk to her. She talks to you. She talks to Richard. And so on and so forth. If I trust her, then you can trust her."

In the interview, which features in the August edition of the magazine, Prince added that he feels the same way about his music as people feel about their children, adding: "Which one of your children do you like the best? Music comes from the same source. It’s all the same thing."
