Producer Zedd has spoken out in praise of Justin Bieber.

The music maestro worked with the Canadian singer on the track 'Beauty and a Beat', which also featured Nicki Minaj.

Speaking to MTV, Zedd said that he initially wanted the song for his own album 'Clarity', but Bieber's quick work encouraged the producer to give it to the 'Believe' man. He said:

"I could not find a spot where I thought it would make sense [on 'Clarity']. I didn’t really plan on giving it to Justin or writing it for him but I thought it would be interesting to hear him on that track and he nailed it in a couple of takes which was really crazy fast. People underestimate his talent."

Talking meanwhile about working on Lady Gaga's forthcoming album 'ARTPOP', Zedd added:

"I’m really proud I think it was about 2 years ago when I had the chance to remix a Lady Gaga song and they really loved it and I kind of talked to them and said a dream of mine would be to actually produce a Lady Gaga record and the answer was – ‘you will’. I was like yeah that’s label-talk! Now just two years later I’m right here so that’s really something I’m very proud of."
