Diana Vickers on new music: 'It's scary when you've been gone for a while'

'Once' songstress Diana Vickers has confessed that making her return to music with a new album, 'Music To Make Boys Cry', is daunting as she has been out of the spotlight for some time.

During a Biz Session with The Sun, the beauty explained that bringing out a new record is intimidating as she's unsure if people will care because she hasn't released anything in a while:

"It was little bit like, ‘Oh my God, it’s been so long. Is anybody gonna care?’ But all through the last two-and-a-half years, I’ve had all my fans constantly checking in, saying, ‘Diana, what’s going on?’ About a year ago I gave out little teaser tracks for the album and I’ve always been keeping them up to date. But it is a bit scary when you’ve been gone for a while.”

Vickers also confessed a desire to do more acting and admitted that after being signed up to star in Sky's comedy series 'Give Out Girls' and a movie called 'The Perfect Wave', which also features Clint Eastwood's son, she got a real taste for portraying characters and challenging herself creatively in a different way:

"I said to my acting agent, ‘I want to go to so many more auditions. This is definitely something I want to do.’ I came back from shooting the movie and it gave me this whole new confidence. I was really worried at first, thinking, ‘Can I do this?’ But I was so comfortable playing that role that is was all quite easy."
