Ed Sheeran to release signature guitar for charity

Ed Sheeran has teamed up with guitar manufacturer Martin to release a signature model for charity.

The singer-songwriter is well-known for his small sized acoustic guitar and now fans can buy their own version.

Sheeran confirmed in a YouTube video that the custom guitars are available to pre-order now at a price of roughly £300/$500.

He added that all proceeds from the sales will be donated to East Anglia's Children's Hospices.

The blurb for the guitar meanwhile reads: "Designed in collaboration with award-winning recording artist Ed Sheeran, the LX1E Ed Sheeran Signature Edition features Ed’s signature “+” sign on the headstock and album logo laser-etched on the solid sapele top. Stage-ready, this model is small enough to take anywhere and comes equipped with Fishman Isys T electronics, SP Lifespan Martin strings and a padded gig bag."
