Jay-Z ticket sales surge 163% after his new album is released

Rap superstar Jay-Z is set to take the stage at London's Wireless Festival this coming weekend for two performances and following the release of his new album, ticket sales have seen a significant increase.

'Magna Carta Holy Grail' hit the No.1 spot in the UK's midweek chart update today (July 10) and following the record's unveiling, Viagogo reports that ticket sales for Wireless have shot up by an impressive 163%.

The '99 Problems' hitmaker will headline the event himself on Saturday, July 14, but will also join collaborator Justin Timberlake the following night for a joint set. Steve Roest, spokesperson for Viagogo, explained in a statement that people are excited to see him perform live:

"With both Wireless and V Festival selling out in record time, it's clear which acts fans are most keen to see. Mr and Mrs Carter are driving the most demand for what will undoubtedly top the list of unmissable performances this summer."
