Psy has passed the three billion YouTube view milestone.

The South Korean star's 'Gangnam Style' clip became the first video to reach one billion hits and it seems his online popularity is growing and growing.

His channel has now joined the likes of Justin Bieber and Rihanna in bypassing the three billion YouTube views barrier.

'Gangnam Style' meanwhile is on course to break the two billion hit benchmark, with the video currently sitting at a staggering 1.7 billion views.

His following single 'Gentleman' meanwhile is lagging behind at a mere 473 million views.

Billboard reports that Psy gained an extra 69m YouTube hits this week, a 93% surge from the previous seven days.
