Adam Lambert on new music: "I'm in love with rock n' roll again"

Adam Lambert has suggested that his new music will have a rock edge.

The singer is no stranger to a bit of rock n' roll glam and he has previously performed with 'Bohemian Rhapsody' icons Queen.

The veteran rockers recently announced another live date with Lambert in September and it seems their sharpened sound has encouraged the vocal powerhouse to realign his inspiration. He told Ryan Seacrest's radio show:

"I'm writing music like a crazy person. I'm in love with rock n' roll again - I feel like there's such a change happening in the music scene. People are playing instruments again, and this whole thing with Queen has been really inspiring, so I'm going to kind of revisit my rock and roll roots a little bit. The things that made me want to audition for [American] Idol in the first place."

Lambert meanwhile recently quit record label RCA and confirmed speculation that he was being pushed into recording an album of 80s covers.
