Jay-Z album breaks US Spotify record

Jay-Z's new album has smashed a US Spotify record.

The rapper unleashed his latest studio efffort 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' recently and it looks set to prove a massive hit across the world.

It has been revealed that the collection was streamed over 14 million times in the US during its first week.

That means that it has now achieved the most amount of streams in a first week for any album on the music service in America.

Previous record holders of the title include Daft Punk and Mumford & Sons.

Jay-Z also achieved the one-day streaming record with 'Magna Carta Holy Grail'.
