Pet Shop Boys battle Robin Thicke for midweek UK No.1 album

The battle for the UK No.1 album is heating up this week after Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' debuted at No.1 and the Pet Shop Boys' brand new offering, 'Electric', has entered just behind at No.2.

At the moment, there are only 1,500 copies separating the two releases and the official positions will be confirmed this coming Sunday (July 21).

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Imagine Dragons' 'Night Visions' has climbed 4 places to No.8, '18 Months' by Calvin Harris has shot up 12 spots to No.9, and Michael Bublé's 'To Be Loved' has dropped to No.6. Other midweek new entries include Cody Simpson's 'Surfers Paradise' at No.16 and 'The Heist' by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis at No.31.

Kanye West's 'Yeezus' has slipped 12 places to No.34 and this week's second highest climber behind Harris is Justin Timberlake with his 'The 20/20 Experience', which is up 7 to No.21.
