Beyoncé rep says new album has not been delayed

A representative for Beyoncé has denied suggestion that her new album has been delayed.

The Hollywood Reporter say the singer has scrapped 50 songs for the record and as such as put back the release date.

This seemingly was backed up by DJ and producer Diplo, who previously said that Beyoncé ditched a number of songs to start afresh.

However, a rep for the singer told the Hollywood Reporter that there was never a release date planned and as such, the record has not been delayed.

Beyoncé meanwhile is currently touring the globe on her Mrs. Carter Show jaunt and she is said to be recording her album whilst out on the road.

Next up for the 'Grown Woman' songstress is a date in Philadelphia tonight (July 25).
