Louis Tomlinson would be "lonely" without One Direction boys

One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson admits he couldn't be a solo artist as he'd get too "lonely".

The singer appreciates having bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne around, and couldn't imagine life without them.

Tomlinson thinks having a solo career wouldn't be as fun and explained in the September 2013 issue of Teen Vogue: ''It could definitely be a lonely job. I wouldn't be able to do this if I were on my own.''

One Direction have amassed a legion of loyal fans since finding fame on The 2010 series on The X Factor UK.

Malik said of their support: ''We're humbled that so many fans have bothered. It was a bit too busy for me [today.] I like to chill somewhere quiet. I get pleasure from the little things in life.''

Horan added: ''I'm not going to be a prisoner in my room - and the fans weren't intrusive. I don't see how you could get used to people screaming in your face, and anyone who says different is lying.''

Meanwhile, bandmate Payne said despite their international fame, One Direction have stayed grounded.

When asked about a backstage rider he insisted: ''We never actually sat there and made one. They bring us the stuff they think we like. We're not really that diva.''
