Richard and Adam's 'Impossible Dream' album debuts at No.1 on the midweek update

'Britain's Got Talent' finalists Richard and Adam (pictured left and below) have scored a midweek No.1 album with their debut offering, 'The Impossible Dream'.

The pair, who come from Holywell in North Wales, shot straight in at the top spot with the record and have knocked Jahméne Douglas down a place to No.2 with his former chart-topper, 'Love Never Fails'.

Adam told the Official Charts Company: "We can’t believe how well the album’s doing. We’re absolutely overwhelmed with all the support, so thank you to each and every one of you for making our dreams come true.”

Elsewhere in the Top 40, Scouting For Girls' 'Greatest Hits' has entered at No.6, Backstreet Boys have made a respectable appearance at No.11 with 'In A World Like This', and metal band Five Finger Death Punch have made a significant impact at 12 with 'The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 1'.

Justin Timberlake's 'The 20/20 Experience' has fallen a rather sizeable 11 positions to No.34, One Direction's 'Take Me Home' has dropped an even bigger 13 places to No.37, and David Guetta's 'Nothing But The Beat' has climbed 5 spots to No.3.
