Mariah Carey on recent injury: 'It was my fault, I was so fatigued'

Songstress Mariah Carey has revealed that dislocating her shoulder and cracking a rib on set recently was her own fault because she was overworking herself.

The beauty took a tumble while filming the remix video for her single '#Beautiful' and her injuries were so bad that her arm was put into a sling and she has lasting nerve damage. During an interview with 'Entertainment Tonight', Carey explained that she was exhausted so she only had herself to blame for the accident:

"It wasn't Nick's fault, it was my fault. Honestly, I had been working for a really long time, and you know how when you're posing? I was posing, and my arm was like [shaking]. It was shaking at that point, so it was very fatigued. And about the ninth take, the tenth take, I was on a roll, darling, a roll! And the next thing I knew, I was on the floor, baby ... on cement."

Her husband, Nick Cannon, praised Carey for being so strong and carrying on with the shoot, adding: "She's such a trouper. I was going to rush to the hospital with her, but she said, 'You get back in there and finish that video!' Then, after they put her shoulder back in place, bandaged her all up, she came back to the video early in the morning and finished out everything."
