Fazer says N-Dubz reunion depends on success of his solo album

Fazer has revealed that an N-Dubz reunion could hinge on the impact his forthcoming solo album makes.

The rapper and producer is currently working on his debut album following the dissolution of N-Dubz in 2011.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Fazer said that his maiden record could ignite "drive for an N-Dubz reunion", saying:

"It's going to capitalise on the bad press we've had in the past with the other two members and I think it's going to take someone like me to come through now 'cos it's a fresh clean slate. You never see me in the tabloids for X, Y or Z. All I'm known for is doing the music and keeping my head down, and I think that's what it needs to make an impact for any sort of drive for a reunion."

Referring to bandmate Tulisa and Dappy's recent arrests meanwhile and whether they could halt an N-Dubz reunion, Fazer added:

"I'm not frustrated because it comes with being in the media. No-one's perfect and we're still growing up. I'm not mad at anyone because it happens, but you won't be seeing me in the press for anything but music."
