Chic superstar Nile Rodgers has confirmed that he is working with Chase & Status on a song they wrote together earlier this year.

In the early hours of this morning (August 14), the legend took to his official Twitter page and revealed the exciting news along with a photograph of them together in the studio: "Composed a song w/ drum n bass gurus @chaseandstatus earlier this year which I'll finish tonight."

The 'Blind Faith' duo recently announced plans to release their new single, entitled 'Count On Me', in the UK later this autumn on September 29. Their third studio album, 'Brand New Machine, will follow on October 7.

Rodgers, meanwhile, has enjoyed great success this year after Chic performed a fantastic set at Glastonbury and his single with Daft Punk on 'Get Lucky' shot to No.1 around the globe.
