Nadine Coyle has announced that she is expecting a baby.

The Girls Aloud star revealed the news through a picture on Instagram, which simply reads:

"I am having a baby. xx."

It will be her first child and it is speculated that it is with on-off American footballer boyfriend Jason Bell.

The baby meanwhile will also be the first to come out from the five Girls Aloud ladies.

The all-female pop group split for good earlier this year after reconvening to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

The 'Sound of the Underground' stars released a greatest hits album and toured the UK and Ireland in a farewell jaunt.
