'James Arthur's debut album is urban and edgy' says producer Naughty Boy

'La La La' hitmaker Naughty Boy has teased a few details about X Factor winner James Arthur's forthcoming debut album.

During an interview with InDemand, the producer explained that he's heard some of the tracks from the record and expects fans will be surprised by the musical direction he has pursued:

"It's really cool actually, it's definitely poppy but with an edge and a bit urban. One of the songs that me and Emeli [Sandé] wrote [for him] is like a big orchestral piece and it has no drums. It's a real album I think a lot of people are going to be surprised with his album."

Naughty Boy also opened up about working with Emeli Sande on their new collaborative single 'Lifted', adding: "Emeli's trying to conquer America at the moment. You've got to start from the beginning and she's going theough that same journey in America as over here."

"It's going really well for her. We have started to be creative again but I don't want to put the pressure on by starting album two. You've got to make it how you made the first one, which is by not really trying... you let it evolve."
