Ed Sheeran: 'I won't ever consider myself a sex symbol'

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he still gets freaked out by women screaming at him because he doesn't consider himself to be the heartthrob that they see him as.

Speaking from the red carpet of the 2013 MTV VMAs, the 'Small Bump' sensation explained that there's something very strange about girls' reactions to him (pictured below at the awards ceremony) and he just can't get used to it:

"I find the whole concept of women screaming at me so odd. It's very flattering, but I don't think I will ever consider myself to be a sex symbol."

"If you speak to most women, they want to take me home and mother me rather than take me to bed. I just have that impression."
