Miley Cyrus manager says VMA show "could not have gone any better"

Miley Cyrus's manager has lauded his client's controversial performance at this year's MTV VMAs.

The 'We Can't Stop' star stole the headlines at the Brooklyn event on Sunday (August 25) by performing provocatively alongside Robin Thicke.

A number of people have criticised Cyrus for stepping over the mark, but it seems her manager Larry Rudolph is very happy with how it all went.

He told People: "We were all cheering from the side of the stage. It could not have gone better. The fans all got it. The rest eventually will."

Rudolph added: "Most of it came from Miley's brain. But she collaborated with [music video director] Diane Martel, who helped her conceive it and bring in the spirit of the VMAs. And with Todd James, who designed all of those amazing bears."
