A number of big name acts have been confirmed to play a series of BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge specials next month.

The broadcaster will host a number of live performances for much of September as they celebrate their Even More Music campaign.

Jessie J will perform live on September 19 whilst US star Justin Timberlake will hit the airwaves on September 23.

Other names due to perform for BBC Radio 1 include Arctic Monkeys, Ellie Goulding, Kings of Leon and Queens of the Stone Age.

Much of the slots coincide with the iTunes Festival festival in September, which will see a number of the Live Lounge acts perform at London's Roundhouse venue.

It has also been confirmed meanwhile that Fearne Cotton will return to Radio 1 on September 2 following her maternity leave.
