One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson has revealed that during a recent hotel trip he was left red-faced after expecting to see his security guard on the other side of the door and instead finding a young girl.

Speaking to Elle magazine, the 'Best Song Ever' hitmaker was asked what his most embarrassing moment to date is and he instantly recalled a funny moment that happened in Las Vegas not so long ago:

"Quite recently in Vegas, I was strolling around in my boxers with my girlfriend—but that's irrelevant [laughs]—and someone knocked at the door. I thought it was my security, so I opened the door, but it was some random little girl!"

"I didn't know what to do! Honestly, I felt really guilty, but I just legged it and shut the door. I don't know whatever happened to that girl though..."

Tomlinson is currently dating university student Eleanor Calder and he added that the reason his girlfriend, and bandmate Zayn Malik's partner weren't in the boyband's debut film This Is Us was because they wanted to focus on their careers rather than their own personal lives:

"It absolutely wasn't deliberate at all. As far as mine and Zayn [Malik]'s girlfriends, I think that's stuff for our personal time. If we had a week off at home, the cameras didn't cover that. It was more trying to paint a picture of what a day in the life of One Direction is like, not necessarily any one of our individual personal lives, you know?"
