Arcade Fire tap up David Bowie for new single

Arcade Fire have teamed up with David Bowie for their highly-anticipated new single.

The cult group released their comeback track 'Reflektor' last night (September 9) at 9pm, with a physical vinyl edition going on sale at selected record shops at the same time.

Bowie's official Facebook page confirmed rumours of his appearance on the track by stating that the 'Next Day' man supplied a "brief backing vocal" on the song.

The track - which was produced by James Murphy - also got the Anton Corbijn treatment, who directed a near eight minute video for the single. An interactive film produced by Vincent Morisset is also available online.

'Reflektor' will feature on Arcade Fire's upcoming double album of the same name, which will be released on October 29 ahead of a world tour.
