Miley Cyrus: 'I was broken when we filmed the 'Wrecking Ball' music video'

Songstress Miley Cyrus has revealed that her new music video for 'Wrecking Ball' was incredibly emotional to shoot because she was "broken" while working on it.

While she hasn't opened up about what is troubling her, the beauty explained that her raw feelings are exposed in that visual offering and fans will be able to see the real pain in her eyes if they pay close attention:

"I think the video is much more. If people get past the point I make, and you actually look at me, you can tell I look more broken than even the song sounds."

"The song is a pop ballad that everyone can relate too; everyone has felt that feeling at some point. If people can take their minds off the obvious and go into their imagination and see what the video really means it is so vulnerable. Actually, if you look at my eyes I look more sad than actually my voice sounds on the record. It was a lot harder to do the video than it was to record the song. It was much more of an emotional experience."

The video debuted earlier this week and has already broken VEVO's 24-hour record for the most hits after racking up 19.3 million views in its first day of release.
