British pop star Rita Ora has revealed a new tattoo.

During a trip to New York the ‘R.I.P’ singer visited celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang McCurdy (pictured together left) for some new ink.

Ora’s latest piece of body art depicts a large version of a Vargas painting of a pin-up girl on her right rib cage (see image below).

The tattoo took five hours to complete.

Talking to E! News about his work on Rita, Bang Bang McCurdy explained:

"The tattoo is on her right ribcage. It's big… When she's standing it's about 7 inches tall, but when she's laying down it's about 10 inches, plus."

Despite the long process Bang Bang confirmed that Ora was “really tough” whilst being inked.

The 22-year-old ‘Hot Right Now’ starlet already has a sizeable collection of tattoos including the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, on her inner arm, a Saggitarius symbol behind one ear and the letter “R” behind the other, an anchor on her wrist, angel wings on one of her ankles and a dove on the back of her neck.

Rita has named her new tattoo Rosetta as she uncovered it to fans in a post on Instagram.
