Haim shocked to be in chart battle with Justin Timberlake and Dizzee Rascal

Girl group Haim have revealed their shock at ending up in a chart battle against the likes of Justin Timberlake and Dizzee Rascal.

The band’s album ‘Days Are Gone’ will be released on Monday alongside the new efforts of Timberlake and Rascal.

Speaking to the Daily Star, bassist Este Haim said: “It’s crazy that we’re even being mentioned in the same league as Dizzee and Justin.

“For us to have a chance to be compete against them is just bizarre. I don’t mind where in the chart we end up, because releasing an album is a dream – for a while, we didn’t think we’d ever finish it.”

Este Haim and her bandmates – sisters Danielle and Alana – have been feeling at home on the road, touring with the likes of Mumford & Sons, and as a result have had to delay the release of their album a few times.

“We’d tour for the rest of our lives if we could,” said Haim.

The band will be in London when their album drops – a fact the band are happy about seeing as the UK has been particularly receptive to their music.

"Being in London the day our album comes out is so exciting,” she said. “I almost feel like a Londoner, except my British accent is the worst of all time.”
